About the object
tondo is a set of six coasters cut as true Ø 100 mm circles. They sit under anything from a tumbler to a teacup, a wine glass to a mug. The mirror-polished surface catches the light on the table, and the felt underneath protects the surface below.
The 1.2 mm thickness was chosen so each coaster lifts off the table with one finger instead of sticking to it. One set covers a table of six, and they stack when not in use.
Made from AISI 304 stainless steel; each coaster weighs about 75 g. Available in mirror, Nero and Gold. As they are felt-backed, wipe them with a damp microfibre cloth and dry.
Each set is laser-cut and finished by hand in our Istanbul workshop. The batch and sequence number are laser-marked, and the set arrives boxed with a signed certificate.
