About the object
sassi is a set of six coasters in six different pebble forms; no two outlines are alike. Scattered on a table they look like stones in a riverbed; gathered together they read as a single object.
Each piece, about 100 × 90 mm, is mirror-polished. It keeps the condensation of a cold glass off the table and catches the light like a small mirror when empty. They are felt-backed.
Made from 1.2 mm AISI 304 stainless steel; each coaster weighs about 70 g. Available in mirror, Nero and Gold. Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and dry.
The forms are drawn one by one in Milan, then laser-cut and finished by hand in our Istanbul workshop. The set arrives boxed with its batch and sequence number and a signed certificate.
Questions
Are the six pieces identical?
No. Each one has a different pebble outline.
Do they catch condensation?
Yes. Steel does not absorb water; drips from the glass stay on the coaster and never reach the table.
How do I clean them?
They are felt-backed, so wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and dry.
