About the object
velo is an open-sided sleeve that slips over a standard tissue box. Once it is on, the printed cardboard disappears, the tissue comes out through the opening on top and stays in place. When the box runs out, the new one goes into the same sleeve: the cardboard changes, velo stays.
At 240 × 125 × 85 mm it is sized for common rectangular tissue boxes. Use it in the living room, bedroom, bathroom or on an office desk.
Made from 0.6 mm AISI 304 stainless steel, it weighs 380 g and does not slide when you pull a tissue. Stainless steel is unaffected by bathroom humidity. Available in brushed, Nero and Gold.
Designed in Milan, laser-cut and folded in Istanbul, with edges finished by hand. Batch and sequence number underneath; signed certificate in the box.
Questions
Which tissue boxes does it fit?
It is sized for common rectangular boxes; its outer size is 240 × 125 × 85 mm, so your box must fit within that.
How do I change the box?
Lift the sleeve off and slip it over the new box; with open sides it takes seconds.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Yes. Stainless steel is unaffected by humidity; drying off water drops prevents limescale marks.
